I would recommend a place to hang damp shirts (they finish air drying and then no need to iron!).

Nora

Good idea! Because as much as I love doing laundry, I hate ironing.

I first misread the title of the blog as "Hope Keeps It Up." I was imagining hope as the props of our lives! or maybe is hope what keeps us motivated to do the maintaining of a house?

We also had (ahem) holes in the wall (which I need like a hole in the head)from some electrical work we had done at a cut rate (as in, we're not paying you to spackle the holes). You can buy patch kits specifically for this type of thing at any home repair store!

I used to be like you..Laundry was zen, it was soft and fluffy meditation.
Now I have three boys in my house. Between work clothes, soccer clothes, gym clothes, their normal clothes, and god forbid they use the same towel twice.
I weep when I walk past the laundry room.
I can literally do a full load of JUST their socks.
